Who We Are

The Harnett Forward Together Committee (HFTC) is a private, non-profit corporation made up of volunteers dedicated to making Harnett County, North Carolina, an even better place to live and work – now and in the future. This group of government, political, business leaders and individuals focuses on a variety of economic development efforts. They design each one to attract growth that will improve the income and quality of life of county residents.

Initiatives are funded through membership fees; public and private donations; federal and state grants; and partnerships with economic development allies.

A Board of Directors, elected at an annual meeting, takes the leadership role in these activities.

Purpose

The purpose of the Harnett Forward Together Committee is to attract the growth necessary to improve citizens’ income and quality of life. We accomplish this by:

Promoting Harnett County as an excellent place to do business and to live.
Acquiring and holding real estate for the development of industrial sites.
Assisting in the construction and maintenance of buildings and facilities.
Assisting industry in efforts to locate to Harnett County and assisting existing industry within the County.
Advertising available Harnett County properties suitable for industrial and economic development.

Membership

Membership is open to everyone interested in raising the standard of living in Harnett County by creating better jobs and economic opportunities. As such, your membership fee is an investment in the future of Harnett County.

The annual membership fee is $100 for individuals and $200 for businesses. All fees are tax deductible.
